A few weeks ago, a well-known medium expressed interest in visiting my cellar to see if he sensed anything unusual. He suggested we hold a séance. While I don’t personally believe in the paranormal, the idea intrigues me, and I’d like to be a witness should anything strange happen.
The back wall of my cellar appears on the earliest plans of Hastings. It once supported a terrace and a church garden centuries ago. There are rumours about secret tunnels leading to a nearby church. A coach house was built against the ancient wall in 1770 and rebuilt in the 1830s. There are reports of prostitutes using the coach house and thieves hiding there. I even found a chilling account of a horrific incident in the stableyard, where the head Ostler was scalded to death.
Given this history, I wonder if there’s something worth exploring. Should we do a live feed for paid subscribers?
What do you think?
I absolutely think you should hold a seance based purely on the history alone!
I am a big believer in the paranormal and I definitely think this place could be a paranormal hot-spot.
I would love to watch the seance in real time.
I think its a personal decision only you can decide. But my opinion as a believer in the paranormal is I would stay away from having a seance because id be worried about the entities attaching themselves to me or my property once that door is opened however on the other hand I enjoy a good ghost hunt where people use spirit boxes and things to try and get answers. But at the end of the day whatever you decide has to be your decision.
